Actor Katherine Heigl is opening her mind about being raised in a "white bubble" and how this realization has affected how she raises her multiracial adopted children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that in terms of skin colour, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted from South Korea she realized just how differently society treats the children. Meg was asked if her treatment was different in the times they went out with their parents and then in the case of going out on their own. She replied "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." Heigl said she got upset and believed it was important to focus the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four year old son who is married to her 13 year old wife, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
