Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby at my side and other children with me in the cradle would work 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! We were getting close to finishing, but the project was still a way off. For furnishing the space, it was going to be a huge effort in terms of both time and funds. Also, I had go to my favorite stores. To stay on budget I began going to estate sales along with my three sons to find diamonds in the rough. We had a weekly schedule that included spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring estate sales and garage sales purchasing new and old objects. The rest of the week sanding and painting the driveway. My passion for furniture restoration started with an appearance like this. I continued to work on furniture long after we furnished our house. At the local market I was able to rent a tiny space, and also sold pieces. Then, my collection got enough that the area that I was living in was inadequate. At home, I started hosting open houses where more than 1000 guests could visit and purchase any product they wanted on the first floor over the course of a weekend. My company Growing Days began here. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing my sweet family too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right equilibrium to start my own business and also become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. My precious Nora arrived in the year 2013 and was our 4th child. While I was pleased with the direction my business went, I was feeling like I needed to take a little break. I opted to take a little break from my antique furniture and slow down to be at home with my kids. This was precisely what I needed at the moment. It wasn't until a couple of months when the phones began to call. I was getting calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements as well as interior design. These were mostly customers who came to my open house for furniture. As I went along I added new customers to my client list each day. It wasn't too long before I managed multiple clients and ran a profitable home improvement business. If you had predicted that this venture that I started would become the basis of a television show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. If I think at it, it has made me smile.
