Kathie Lee Gifford was the co-host of the fourth hour on TODAY along with Hoda Kotb from 2008 until April 5, 2019. Entertainment Weekly lauded the Gifford and Kotb show as "appointment to watch television" and USA Today called it TODAY's Happy Hour. Gifford composed TODAY the Musical, which was a highly-acclaimed musical with hosts and staff of the program. Each month Gifford wrote a brand new song to be featured in the well-loved Everyone Has a Story segment. In the year 2015 she was elected into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame.
