Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 in the Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi is an Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. Comaneci participated for the first time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she won the title of champion. In 1972, at an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the overall junior champion. In 1975 she was awarded 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she became the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry in her teens, when she performed as an ice skating duo along with her sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's career began in entertainment as a teenager. She started her career as a model skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of ice-skating by actors.
